In February 2023, we decided to move from Salt Lake City to Rochester, MN, for few years. My Cobra project in Salt Lake City and shop were put in storage pending the construction of my new shop outside of Moab, UT. We’re hoping that the shop will be done this Spring and I will be resuming my build. This will be my third shop during the roadster builds. The first, along with my first roadster (as a rolling chassis), burned in the Fourmile Fire of 2010. My second shop was created by finishing out a large double garage at our home in Salt Lake. As with the first, it was a terrific space– well lit, insulated and heated/cooled. This shop is being constructed as a shop from the ground up, not converted from another use, and I’m excited to get finally moved in. It is about 800 sq. ft. with 30,000 lumens of lighting to make it easy to see.
I have been doing a little bit of work on roadster-related things: recreating the website as described in this site’s homepage and working on roadster documentation such as accurate wiring diagrams and a manual for the roadster that contains all the specific information for my build (e.g., parts numbers, torque specs, a maintenance schedule).
